Dear Mr. Horan:

I enclose for your information some recently published material concerning Seymour J. Rubin, Esq., one of my former law professors at The American University, an individual who is referenced in my letter to the U.S. Secret Service (Phillip C. Leadroot, S.A.), dated July 23, 1998. The material is from a recently published book titled Nazi Gold, which meticulously details Rubin's involvement in attempts to retrieve Jewish assets held by Swiss banks. The relevance of this issue is detailed in the enclosed letters.

I think it would be a nice gesture if Professor Rubin would come clean with any information he has about my tenure at Akin Gump. To invoke Professor Rubin's own words: "Morality demands it."

Professor Rubin resides in Georgetown at 1675 35th Street, NW, Washington, DC. His home telephone number is (202) 338-0820.

Sincerely,

Gary Freedman

[Professor Rubin is deceased. The letter is evidence of my "moral narcissism."
