Dear Mr. Horan:

I am writing to relate an experience I had on Wednesday April 28, 1999.

Sometime around 2:30 PM as I was walking down Connecticut Avenue, on my way to the P Street Clinic, where I had a 3:00 PM appointment with Lisa Osborne, I saw a lady walking north on Connecticut (east side), just north of DuPont Circle. I thought: "That's Pat Schroeder, the former Democratic Congresswoman from Denver, Colorado. And she looks like she recognizes me." Then I thought: "No, that can't be. There's no way that she would know who I am. No way."

Then, oddly enough, the following day, Thursday April 29, 1999 I read an article in the New York Times (page A26) about Pat Schroeder, which detailed a fact about her that I did not know. Former Congresswoman Schroeder currently serves as President of the Association of American Publishers.
Her office is located at 1718 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20007. The telephone number at the Association is (202) 232-3335.

I am sure that former Congresswoman Schroeder would fully disclose to the U.S. Capitol Police any information she may have that is pertinent to your concerns.

I enclose a computer disc that contains the latest version of my autobiography, an earlier version of which I provided to you.

Coincidentally, former U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary, Federico Pe¤a, is also from Denver. (My book talks about the two psychoanalysts Jeffrey Masson and Kurt Eissler who met for the first time in Denver, at a psychoanalytic conference, in 1974).

Sincerely,

Gary Freedman
