Note the following statement: "So few comments made between 07 & now. Most ppl would have quit. Author is v smart, but mentally ill. Sued for employment discrimination."
There is a wide gulf that separates the creative individual from the noncreative individual. This tweeter is saying she would have given up writing a blog without the confirmation and support of other people. If all people were like that, no one would persist for years on an unpopular idea or piece of scientific research or a work of art or literature.
Creative people are inner directed. We are driven by inner forces, and are not either defeated by failure or diverted by applause.
* The creative person is more independent in his judgments, and his self-directed behavior is determined by his own set of values and ethical standards.

The Justice Department, through a law enforcement branch, asked me: "What was your motivation in writing a blog?"
The answer is simple. Inner forces motivate me. In artists the need to express the inner self is more important than the need to communicate with another person and receive the other person's supportive response.
I find it amusing and disheartening that the moral development of two federal law enforcement officers apparently rises to no higher level than that of two post-adolescent female tweeters.
Apparently, the Justice Department has problems with creative federal judges and creative paranoid schizophrenics!
