The following is the text of a passage from R. Strauss's opera, Salome. Apparently, Jews have been howling for at least the last 2,000 years. Maybe its genetic!
FIRST SOLDIER: What an uproar! Who are those wild beasts howling!
SECOND SOLDIER: The Jews. They are always like that. They are disputing about their religion.
FIRST SOLDIER: Why do they dispute about their religion?
SECOND SOLDIER: I cannot tell. They are always doing. The Pharisees, for instance, say that there are angels, and the Sadducees declare that angels do not exist.
FIRST SOLDIER: I think it is ridiculous to dispute about such things.
The following is a scene from Salome -- but without the screaming Jews. The excerpt has Hebrew subtitles, so the screaming Jews in the blogosphere can understand.

Did you know that Salome was the first opera Bernie Epstein ever saw?
He told me that in 1970. I always remember everything about Strauss.
