Ol' Man River

Ol' man river,
Dat ol' man river
He mus' know sumpin'
But don't say nuthin',
He jes' keeps rollin'
He keeps on rollin' along.

He don' file pleadins',
He don't try cases,
An' dem dat tries 'em
is soon forgotten,
But ol' man river,
He jes keeps rollin' along.

You an' me, we sweat an' strain,
Body all achin' an' racket wid pain,
Tote dat barge!
Lif' dat bale!
Write a blog,
An' you land in jail.

Ah gits weary
An' sick of whinin'
Ah'm tired of livin'
An' skeered of tryin',
But ol' man river,
He jes' keeps rolling' along.

Let me go 'way from the Mississippi,
Let me go 'way from de white man boss;
Show me dat stream called de river Jordan,
Dat's de ol' stream dat I long to cross.

Ol' man river,
Dat ol' man river,
He mus' know sumpin'
But don't say nuthin'
He jes' keeps rollin'
He keeps on rollin' along.

The song "Old Man River" is from the musical Showboat. The musical is not racist. The musical is about racism.

My Daily Struggles is not the written component of a person with a violent agenda. It's a blog about defamatory accusations that a person is potentially violent.

And by the way, not all Catholics are alcoholics -- even though they drink wine at Mass.
