Why Do I Write a Blog?

Back in January a couple of nice young men from the Justice Department interviewed me at my residence about a law enforcement matter.  One of the gentlemen asked me what motivated me to write a blog.  I suppose there are a number of reasons why I write a blog.  My motivation is, as the psychoanalysts say, "overdetermined."

One of the reasons I blog is that I identify with the lost soul stranded alone on an island in the South Pacific.  My blog is my "message in a bottle" that I have tossed into the ocean hoping that someone on a distant shore will learn of my plight and set in motion a plan for my rescue.

This afternoon I was gratified that some anonymous person at the Justice Department accidentally happened upon my blog after searching for Vinnie Cohen, a lawyer at Hogan & Hartson.  It so happens that I mention Mr. Cohen in my blog.  My Daily Struggles seemed to have aroused the reader's interest and he read on.  That person now knows of my existence.  Will he take any action?  Who knows?  Perhaps some day I will be rescued.  But hopefully not too soon.
