There's a story told that President Lyndon Johnson kept a drawer full of electric toothbrushes. He used to give them away as a gift to visitors. Johnson explained: "If I give someone a toothbrush, he'll think of me the first thing in the morning when he gets up and the last thing at night before he goes to bed." I always wanted to ask Bob Strauss if Lyndon Johnson ever gave him an electric toothbrush.
