The post is a letter from November 1998 addressed to Dennis M. Race, Esq. at the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld stating my willingness to have my then-treating psychiatrist, Albert H. Taub, M.D., provide the firm assurances that I did not pose a violence risk. I wrote the letter a brief time after the D.C. Court of Appeals issued on September 1, 1998 an Opinion and Judgment reaffirming an earlier agency determination that my job termination by Akin Gump in October 1991 was lawful under the D.C. Human Rights Act.
Dr. Taub did not speak with Akin Gump. The firm did not respond to my offer. In February 1999 Dr. Taub filed a letter with the D.C. Medical Board falsely and deceptively stating that I suffered from paranoid schizophrenia of long-standing duration.
A curious thing happened after I posted the documents on this blog in December 2009. Someone at the Justice Department logged on to this post again and again for a few days. Why would the Justice Department have any interest in these particular documents?
Did the documents in any way expose Akin Gump to any legal liability? If so, why would the Justice Department have an interest in Akin Gump's legal exposure?
On January 15, 2010, about one month later, two officers from the Justice Department interviewed me at my residence about my blog. They wanted to know what it was that motivated me to write the blog and what it was I was trying to accomplish. My suspicion remains that the Justice Department interview was an attempt to intimidate me to curtail or stop my publishing material about Akin Gump. A senior attorney at Akin Gump is a personal friend of the Attorney General, by the way. In the late 1990s that Akin Gump attorney reportedly tried to buy the silence of a White House intern who had incriminating evidence that could implicate President Clinton in scandal.

When the Justice Department officers spoke to me on January 15, 2010 they had what seemed to me to be an odd curiosity about my feelings about Dennis Race.
