What Did Attorney General Eric Holder Know and When Did He Know It?

The Freedman Archives contains the following statement:

"It was in the fall of 2002 that I forwarded a letter to Eric H. Holder, Jr., Esq., at Covington & Burling requesting his pro bono representation. I had formed the paranoid impression, subsequently, that the letter to Holder triggered some inquiries of some kind."
