October 9, 1992

Mr. Gary Freedman
3801 Connecticut Avenue, N.W.
Apartment 136
Washington, DC  20008

Dear Mr. Freedman:

Thank you for your letter of October 2, 1992, expressing an interest in King & Spalding.  As I am sure you can imagine, we receive many more letters from well-qualified applicants than we can possibly interview.  Thus, I regret that despite your many fine accomplishments and excellent qualifications, we are not in a position to invite you to interview at this time.

We will, however, keep your resume on file and reconsider your status should our needs change.

We appreciate your consideration and wish you every success in your future endeavors.

While I was on extended unemployment compensation (June - November 1992) I was required to send out three resumes per week to prospective employers (total 78 job inquiries). I sent resumes to law firms inquiring into a paralegal position. I did not get a single interview.
