Akin Gump: Douglas Rosenfeld, Esq.

Doug and his wife, Michele, live in Potomac with their four daughters, all of whom attend Montgomery County Public Schools. Before moving to Potomac, Doug and his family lived in Montgomery Village and, later, in the Derwood area of Rockville. Doug, 52 years old, has been a County resident for more than 20 years, and has lived in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area for more than 25 years.

Doug received a law degree from American University's Washington College of Law and is a licensed attorney in Maryland and the District of Columbia. A former associate at the large Washington D.C. law firms of Hogan & Hartson and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, Doug now is engaged in his own practice. He is a litigation attorney with an emphasis in labor and employment law matters. He also holds a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University and a bachelor's degree in economics from Union College.

Doug Rosenfeld was a friend of Daniel D. Cutler.  Mr. Rosenfeld practiced law at Hogan & Hartson at the same time Mr. Cutler and I worked in the firm's Computer Applications Department in the late 1980s.  Mr. Rosenfeld started at Akin Gump on Monday March 13, 1989, while I was employed at the firm.  He worked on Eastern Airlines litigation and his office was on the 2nd floor adjacent to that of Akin Gump partner, David P. Callet.
