Akin Gump Surveillance: Message for Elaine Wranik
During the period 1988-1991 I was employed as a paralegal at the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld. I believed that I was under surveillance by the firm. The surveillance included the manager of my apartment building entering my apartment surreptitiously every morning, inspecting my apartment, and reporting back to the firm's managers what she saw. I used to leave messages for the manager (Elaine Wranik). Many of the messages were humorous. The following is a message I left on a table in my apartment during the summer of 1991. It is handwritten on a sheet of yellow tablet paper:
_______________
WARNING TO PEOPLE WHO PROJECT:
"YOU COULD POKE SOMEBODY'S I OUT LIKE THAT!"
_______________
The message plays on the word "eye" and "I" (the self). The psychoanalytical literature indicates that being the object of massive projections can be pathogenic. Anti-Semitism is a projective phenomenon.

Dear Mr. Huvelle:
I am interested in being considered for a paralegal position with your firm. I have substantial paralegal experience, and am licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania. I submit a resume herewith.
I have been disabled since October 1991. I have spent eleven of the past fourteen years writing a book, which may be of publishable quality. You can access the book at http://signmomentsone.blogspot.com/.
I suffer from a mental disability that has been diagnosed as schizoid personality disorder and delusional disorder. I attach information concerning my disorder and the medications I currently take.
My current treating psychologist believes that I would be able to perform the tasks required of a paralegal.
Thank you very much for considering my application.
Sincerely,
Gary Freedman

Dear Mr. Wainstein:
The full text of my autobiography titled "Significant Moments" can be accessed on the web at http://signmomentsone.blogspot.com/. The manuscript is unusual in structure, and is written entirely in the form of quotations from published material. I spent about ten years writing the document, from the spring of 1993 to about the year 2004.
From June 1988 to October 1991 I was employed at the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, two of whose executive managers are Robert S. Strauss, Esq. and Vernon E. Jordan, Jr., Esq. Dennis M. Race, Esq. of Akin Gump designated himself the contact person regarding questions about my employment (202 887 4028).
From 1992 to 1996 I was an outpatient at the Department of Psychiatry of the George Washington University Medical Center Department of Psychiatry, which at that time was chaired by Jerry M. Wiener, M.D. (now deceased). Dr. Wiener served in 1994-1995 as President of the American Psychiatric Association. He had earlier served as President of the American Psychoanalytic Association. Coincidentally, Dr. Wiener was Jewish and a native of Texas, like Robert S. Strauss (who serves as
a trustee of GW's Ronald Reagan Institute of Emergency Medicine). Robert S. Strauss has an interest in biomedical issues and endowed a chair in neurology at the University of Texas Medical School. Both Mr.
Strauss and Dr. Wiener were graduates of the University of Texas.
I believe (without proof) that senior Akin Gump managers surreptitiously (and unlawfully) obtained draft versions of my autobiography which I submitted to my psychiatrists at GW. I further believe that Vernon E. Jordan, Jr., Esq. transmitted the draft versions to his close friend and confidant, former President William Jefferson Clinton or Hillary Rodham Clinton. If you recall, in the mid-1990s, Mrs. Clinton chaired an ill-fated national health care reform initiative that considered benefits for mental health treatment.
I understand that the willful fabrication of delusional symptoms to bolster a Social Security disability mental health claim would constitute a prosecutable act of criminal fraud.
Sincerely,
Gary Freedman

Dear Sir:
This will advise the U.S. Secret Service that I have been the victim of an ongoing fraud and racketeering conspiracy run by attorney managers of the Washington, DC law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld: a criminal enterprise that has involved The George Washington University Medical Center Medical Faculty Associates, The District of Columbia Public Library (Richard Jackson, Interim Director), as well as several high-level federal officials including former President William Jefferson Clinton, former Treasury
Secretary Robert E. Rubin, and former Treasury General Counsel, Edward S. Knight, Esq.
The Government of the District of Columbia (Office of The Corporation Counsel) determined (in 1997) that I formed a genuine and good-faith belief (though unsupported by fact) that in January 1990 members of the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld (a class of persons that included Edward S. Knight, Esq.) gained unlawful entry to my apartment (at the above address), and that the unlawful entry was made with the knowledge and consent of the firm's management committee (a class of persons that includes Robert S. Strauss, Esq. and Vernon E. Jordan, Jr., Esq.). Freedman v. D.C. Dept. of Human Rights, 96-CV-961 (DCCA, Sept. 1998), Brief of Appellee District of Columbia at 9. The firm did not dispute the District's determination or its legal or factual relevance.
Vernon E. Jordan, Jr., Esq. is a close personal friend of former President Clinton's.
Secret Service Special Agent Philip C. Leadroot (now retired) is familiar with this matter.
Enclosed is a collection of pertinent documents.
Sincerely,
Gary Freedman

Covington & Burling: Threatening Behavior!!
Eugene Lambert, Esq. is a partner at the Washington, D.C. law firm of Covington & Burling and a trustee of The George Washington University. I sent the following email to Mr. Lambert on August 26, 2005. Arguably, Mr. Huvelle was on notice since August 2005 about my blog, deemed threatening by federal authorities in January 2010.
Mr. Lambert,
If you are at all interested, you can access my web page at garfreed.blogspot.com
I was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia by The George Washington University Medical Center Department of Psychiatry. The web page, presumably, reflects a severely disturbed mental state.
Please send my regards to Mr. Jeffrey Huvelle at Covington and Burling.
Best wishes,
GARY FREEDMAN

email Message to Rabbi Jeffrey Wohlberg at Adas Israel Congregation
The following is the text of an email message I sent on October 6, 2005 to Rabbi Jeffrey Wohlberg at Adas Israel Congregation located in the Washington, D.C. neighborhood of Cleveland Park. The U.S. Marshal Service banned me, effective January 15, 2010, from attending Adas Israel. I transmitted the message to the Synagogue's email address: adasoffice <adasoffice@adasisrael.org>

Dear Mr.
Strauss (who serves as a trustee of GW's Ronald Reagan Institute of Emergency Medicine).

Lucille Ball: On Inventing Her Own Piano
Lucille Désirée Ball (August 6, 1911 – April 26, 1989) was an American comedienne, film, television, stage and radio actress, model, film and television executive, and star of the sitcoms I Love Lucy, The Lucy–Desi Comedy Hour, The Lucy Show, Here's Lucy and Life With Lucy. One of the most popular and influential stars in America during her lifetime, with one of Hollywood's longest careers, especially on television, Ball began acting in the 1930s, becoming both a radio actress and B-movie star in the 1940s, and then a television star during the 1950s. She was still making films in the 1960s and 1970s.
The comedian Steve Allen once said: "Perhaps the greatest pianist who ever lived was a cave man living in a cave in Europe 20,000 years ago. But we'll never know, because there were no pianos."
Relatively late in her career, at about age 40, Lucille Ball virtually invented the modern TV sitcom. Lucille Ball and I Love Lucy pioneered a number of methods still in use in television production today such as filming before a live studio audience with three cameras (instead of the then standard of one), and distinct sets adjacent to each other. Speaking metaphorically, Lucille Ball invented her own piano.
Since boyhood my favorite episode of I Love Lucy is one titled "New Neighbors." After snooping in the new tenant's apartment, she finds herself over-hearing the couple talking about murdering her and Ricky; stealing their identities; and then blowing up the Capitol. Little does Lucy realize that the new tenants are rehearsing a scene for their job. Lucy sneaks out of the apartment and puts the apartment on lock-down as the Ricardos and Mertzes prepare to defend themselves.
I find it interesting and revealing that this episode should have been my favorite as a boy, a boy who was later to develop a keen interest in psychoanalysis. In psychoanalysis, the surface appearance of a patient's narrative is dismissed and viewed, rather, as an ironic transformation of deeper, hidden meanings. The humor of New Neighbors lies in the fact that the apparent, manifest reality is interpreted by the characters as the sole meaning. The characters fail to see the deeper, hidden meaning: that what they are actually perceiving is a deceptive reality. The true reality requires an appreciation of a larger context: namely, the fact that the new neighbors are actually actors rehearsing a role.
In the play of a life that I have written, I present myself to The Powers That Be as a potentially homicidal psychotic. But that is only a role I have created--or rather one that was created for me. In fact, my true aim is to enlist The Powers in a criminal investigation to uncover the facts of a fraud and racketeering conspiracy of many years duration, with the intent to capitalize on my pain and suffering and, in the end, acquire the financial means to purchase a condo in South Beach!

Significant Moments: Goethe and Wagner
I have made a minor revision to my book Significant Moments (which is highlighted in yellow). The entire passage from which this excerpt is drawn is homospatial to some extent, I suppose. According to Albert Rothenberg, M.D. the term homospatial refers to superimposing two or more images or ideas on top of each other. In this passage I have superimposed the life and writings of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (and his famous trip to Italy) on top of Wagner's trip to Italy in 1858, where he wrote the second act of his opera, Tristan und Isolde -- which, coincidentally, he completed on the afternoon of August 6, 1858.

A Triumph of Light Over Darkness
The Beethoven Ninth Symphony performed in 1942 for the entertainment of the criminal conspirators who had hijacked the German government from 1933-1945.
A Triumph of Light Over Darkness!! The following is a performance of the fourth movement of the Beethoven Ninth Symphony conducted by Leonard Bernstein in the Schauspielhaus in central Berlin on December 25, 1989, celebrating the fall of the Berlin Wall. Ironically, or significantly, Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish Festival of Light, was celebrated in 1989 beginning on December 23.

I Wonder What Happened to my Friend, Brad Dolinsky?
Brad Dolinsky, M.D. moved into my apartment building in 2003. He was working on a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He was a terrific guy. He moved out in 2007, upon the completion of his residency training program. Brad was a special person who had won a national award for excellence in medical writing for a paper that he published in his field. He had earned his bachelor's degree from Columbia University. I still think about Brad. The front desk manager in my building, Mardi, said that Dr. Dolinsky was somebody that his superiors -- highly ranked people in his field -- had their eyes on.

I have nostalgic memories of the year 2003. I'm not precisely sure why that is. I think perhaps the reason is that I turned 50 that year. Fifty is a transitional age, I suppose; the year 2003 was a transitional year for me in some ways.
One of my former psychiatrists, Dr. Lawrence C. Sack, MD, died on August 5, 2003; his office was located on the second floor of my apartment building. I remember the note Dr. Sack's son, Robert Sack, MD -- also a psychiatrist --left on Dr. Sack's office door advising his father's patients of Dr. Sack's death. I remember so clearly the Saturday following his death. I lay on my couch all afternoon, stared into space, and listened to the slow movement of Beethoven's ninth symphony again and again. I was devastated by Dr. Sack's passing.
My apartment building opened up its new fitness room, and I started using the elliptical machine for the first time. I remember it was around the time of the Iraq war, specifically the fall of Saddam Hussein. I remember watching coverage of the Iraq war on the TV in the fitness room.
I turned 50 on December 23, 2003.
I started writing letters to my friend Brian Brown in about April 2003, leaving the letters on the hard drive on the public access computers at the library. Brian used to be the branch manager at the library. He later lied to the DC police, saying he never read the letters -- and that he just happened to read the one letter I wrote to him in which I called him a fag, in April 2004. Ha!
My apartment manager David Castleberry left and we got a new manager.
My apartment building was redecorated. The lobby was totally redone. A new faux marble floor was installed. The halls were painted, and molding was installed on the doorways to all the apartments.
Elizabeth Joyce, the front desk manager at my apartment building, went on vacation in July 2003 and never returned. She retired at the end of her vacation. Tim Norton replaced Elizabeth Joyce, then Mardi replaced Tim.
I saw Dr. Israella Bash as my case manager for the first time on about May 3, 2003. She said: "Why aren't you working? You can work. I'm not saying you can work as a lawyer. Lawyers work 70-80 hours a week. But you can work as a paralegal. It's a sin in the Jewish religion not to work." I said, "Dr. Bash, where are you from?" She said: "Israel. I'm a fifth generation Israeli."
My therapy with Dr. Nancy Shaffer ended in early 2003. I had started to see Dr. Shaffer in September 1999. I started seeing Meghana Tembe at the George Washington University Center For Professional Psychology in early 2003.
I remember Yom Kippur so clearly. It was a beautiful, warm late summer day: Monday October 6, 2003. I visited the Madison Building at the Library of Congress. October 6 was also a Monday in the year 1986; it was the day Craig W. Dye started working at Hogan & Hartson.
I got a new neighbor that year. He was an affable, young Frenchman. I never learned his name.

Author in Search of a Publisher: Williams & Connolly Connections
In July 2001 Rita Braver of CBS News interviewed the politically-connected novelist Michael Chabon on the CBS News show Sunday Morning about his then latest novel The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay.
Rita Braver is married to the Williams & Connolly partner, Robert B. Barnett. Barnett happens to be a book publishing agent. I sent Mr. Barnett an email in the fall of 2005 requesting his representation of my book Significant Moments. He politely declined.
Coincidentally, Williams & Connolly partner David Kendall represented President Clinton in the Senate impeachment trial in the late 1990s.
Akin Gump partner Vernon E Jordan, Jr., himself a published author, has connections to CBS News. But then, Vernon Jordan has connections to everybody!
email message dated November 2, 2005 to Robert Barnett at Williams & Connolly:
Mr. Barnett,
I have completed a manuscript that may be of publishable quality, and I am inquiring into securing your services as a literary agent.
The manuscript -- the complete text of which can be accessed on the internet at http://signmomentsone.blogspot.com -- is a personal memoir that is unusual in structure. It is written entirely in the form of quotations from published material, primarily from classic literature and historical and biographical texts. I appreciate the fact that the manuscript poses substantial copyright problems.
The book took shape over a ten-year period as a collection of interweaving personal associations to, and identifications with, historical and literary figures.
The content of the text features material on Freud and psychoanalysis, the world of opera, Jewish history, and biblical references. Beyond that, the text is difficult to describe. The several persons I have shared the manuscript with have found it unique and remarkable.
I would appreciate any comments you have about the manuscript's publishability.

email Message to Eleanor Holmes Norton -- Monthly Criminal Fraud Certification per 18 U.S.C. §4 (Misprision of Felony)
To the Office of Inspector General:
The following is my monthly criminal fraud certification per 18 U.S.C. §4 (misprision of felony). I understand that the U.S. Department of Justice has waived the prosecution of any felonies I may have committed against the Government of the United States by and through the actions of U.S. Secret Service Special Agent xxxxx xxxxxxx (Washington Field Office). I advised S.A. xxxxxxx that "I like to commit felonies" during a Secret Service interview on November 18, 2010; S.A. xxxxxxx just laughed at me. I am currently defrauding the Government of the United States of about $500,000, or so it appears -- a felony.
Criminal Division
U.S. Department of Justice
Dear Sir:
I believe the following statement discharges my duty per 18 U.S.C. §4 (misprision of felony) to report the commission of a felony perpetrated against the Government of the United States.
I certify under penalty of criminal prosecution for making false statements that the following declaration is true and correct to the best of my knowledge:
1. The U.S. Department of the Treasury made a wire transfer of $1288 to my bank account on August 3, 2011 per my claim of disability granted by the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA): disability claim no. xxx xx xxxx.
2. The SSA determined that I became disabled and not suitable for employment by reason of severe mental illness that may be associated with a risk of violent behavior, effective October 29, 1991. As part of my initial claim for benefits in 1993 I provided to SSA evidence that my direct supervisor (Christine Robertson), who reported directly to a senior management attorney (R. Bruce McLean, Esq.) at the law firm where I was employed, advised her employees after my termination that she feared I might return to the firm to kill her and arranged to have the firm take protective measures to guard against a possible homicidal assault (agency record at 41).
http://dailstrug.blogspot.com/2010/06/social-security-notice-of-award-1993.html
3. The SSA determined that I became disabled effective October 29, 1991 based on the sworn declaration of Laurence J. Hoffman, Esq. and Dennis M. Race, Esq. of the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, where I was employed until I was diagnosed with mental illness that might be associated with a risk of violence. Akin Gump's mental status determination, according to the sworn declaration, was made in
consultation with a practicing psychiatrist (Gertrude R. Ticho, M.D.). Dr. Ticho (deceased) denied in a letter written on her letterhead in July 1993 and in a taped telephone conversation I had with her in October 1993 that she ever had any communications of the kind alleged by Akin Gump.
http://dailstrug.blogspot.com/2009/12/social-security-administration-initial.html
4. The District of Columbia Court of Appeals affirmed (1998) a prior agency determination (1993) that found that Akin Gump's sworn declaration was factual and that the employer's mental status determination was genuine and credible, see Freedman v. D.C. Department of Human Rights, D.C.C.A. no. 96-CV-961 (Sept. 1, 1998), relying in part on the Brief on Appeal filed with the Court on July 25, 1997 by the D.C. Corporation Counsel.
http://dailstrug.blogspot.com/2011/03/dc-reply-brief-freedman-v-dc-dept-human.html
5. On January 15, 2010 I was interviewed by Deputy Marshal xxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx of the U.S. Marshals Service (Washington, DC) who had concerns, based on my prior statements and conduct, that I might pose a continuing and indefinite risk of harm to U.S. District Court Judge xxxxx xxxxx xxxxxxx and the judge's immediate family. It was Judge xxxxxxx who in 1996 affirmed a prior agency determination that failed to find that Akin Gump's published statements that I might have been homicidal and extremely dangerous, see paragraph 2 above (agency record at 41), as of late October 1991 constituted acts of defamation motivated by a discriminatory animus. Judge xxxxxxx relied in part on inapposite case law to exonerate the apparent unlawful conduct of the law partners of Vernon Jordan.
http://dailstrug.blogspot.com/2011/04/superior-court-decision-freedman-v-dc.html
The USMS imposed continuing and indefinite protective measures limiting my access to a public facility and to a house of worship. The protective measures imposed by the USMS are inconsistent with my employability under the Americans With Disabilities Act, which permits an employer to refuse to employ a disabled person who poses a risk of harm at a place of employment.
http://dailstrug.blogspot.com/2010/12/fourth-amendment-touch-my-junk-please.html
6. I believe that to the extent that SSA claim no. xxx xx xxxx is based on the sworn declaration of Laurence J. Hoffman, Esq. and Dennis M. Race, Esq. that I became unemployable effective October 29, 1991, that I suffered from severe mental illness and posed a risk of violence as of said date, the claim is based on criminal fraud, a felony under federal law.
http://dailstrug.blogspot.com/2011/06/akin-gump-what-was-dc-corporation.html
7. I believe that to the extent that SSA claim no. xxx xx xxxx is based on the aforementioned Brief on Appeal filed by the D.C. Corporation Counsel with the D.C. Court of Appeals, the claim is based on criminal fraud, a felony under federal law. I believe that the Brief on Appeal contains several material omissions of fact and law calculated to mislead the Court, misrepresents the agency record and findings, and constitutes a willful fraud by the D.C. Corporation Counsel on the D.C. Court of Appeals.
8. To the extent that Judge xxxxxxx exonerated the unethical conduct of a psychiatrist in providing an ex parte professional opinion about my mental health and stability to my former employer in violation of the American Psychiatric Association's Goldwater Rule, which prohibits such communications, Judge xxxxxxx exceeded her judicial power. A professional opinion offered by a psychiatrist about the mental health and stability of an individual whom she has not seen in private consultation does not meet the criteria established to ensure the reliability of an expert psychiatric opinion and has no more clinical value than a lay opinion and is therefore defamatory. Further, Judge xxxxxxx's action in exonerating the unethical conduct of a licensed professional -- conduct that was, in fact, illegal per D.C. Code §2-3305.14(26) as of the filing of the complaint in Freedman v. D.C. Dept. Human Rights -- at the behest of her husband's law partner (attorney for the defendant, Akin Gump), carries the appearance of impropriety.
9. I believe that to the extent that SSA claim no. xxx xx xxxx is supported by the action of the USMS in concluding that I pose a continuing and indefinite risk of harm to a federal judge (and that judge's immediate family), and in imposing continuing and indefinite restrictions on my access to a public facility and to a house of worship, the claim is based on criminal fraud, a felony under federal law. I believe that the USMS did not form a good faith belief that I pose a risk of harm nor was the interview that Deputy Marshal xxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx conducted at my residence on January 15, 2010, or my prior conduct or statements that occasioned the interview, a sufficient basis to conclude that I pose a risk of harm. Further, I believe that the
USMS interview was the product of a criminal conspiracy between the USMS and other(s) to intimidate me in the free exercise of my constitutionally-protected right to publish facts concerning the likely fraudulent nature of my SSA disability claim and the likely criminal conduct of attorney managers of the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld. 18 U.S.C. Section 241 (Conspiracy against Rights).
10. USMS Associate General Counsel xxx xxxxx (202-xxx xxxx) advised me by email on June 7, 2011 that a letter I sent to Judge xxxxxxx dated August 14, 2000 -- 10 years ago -- triggered the USMS concerns that I might pose a security risk to Judge xxxxxxx and prompted the USMS interview on January 15, 2010. That proposition is so ludicrous that it raises a substantial question about whether the stated reason for the USMS interview was simply pretext for an attempt by the USMS to try to intimidate me: a possible felony per 18 U.S.C. Section 241 (Conspiracy against Rights.)

Dear Mr. Freedman:
This is in response to your letter to Thomas Insel, MD, Director of the National Institute of Mental Health asking for his comments on the termination of your employment and the subsequent years on disability retirement.
Only a doctor who has examined you and reviewed your complete medical history would be in a position to offer comments. I am sorry we are unable to help you.
Sincerely yours,

The irony is that the U.S. Social Security Administration in approving my claim for disability benefits in 1993 relied in part on a psychiatric opinion made by a psychiatrist who had never examined me and reviewed my complete medical history. See Freedman v. D.C. Dept. Human Rights, D.C.C.A. no. 96-CV-961 (Sept. 1, 1998) (Gertrude Ticho, M.D. advised the employer, without having examined plaintiff in private consultation in violation of the American Psychiatric Association's Goldwater Rule, that plaintiff suffered from a psychiatric disorder that might be associated with a risk of violence).

The following is dialogue from the Seinfeld episode, "The Visa." Ping is suing Elaine. Ping's sister, Cheryl, is a lawyer.

There's a knock on Jerry's door.
Voice: Kramer?
Kramer: Yeah? It's my Chinese food.
Ping enters with a bag of food.
Elaine: Oh! Ping! Hi! Listen, thank you so much for dropping that lawsuit against me.
Ping: Not anymore.
Elaine: What?
Ping: Cheryl call me last night, lawsuit back on.
Elaine: Why?
Ping: She call you and your friends big liars. You think she nice girl? Wait till you see her in court. She's a shark! They call her the Terminator. She never lose a case. Now you make her mad. She double the damages. Hasta la vista, baby.
Ping exits.

Ms. Beth Wilkinson, Esq.
(Mrs. David Gregory, NBC News)

I may face federal prosecution for criminal fraud and I am writing to inquire about your possible pro bono representation of me.
The following is the text of an email I sent to the Chief of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice (Lanny Breuer, Esq.) that will provide you with pertinent facts about my case:
To The Honorable Lanny Breuer:
The following is the text of an email message I sent to Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) on January 3, 2011 regarding intimidation by the U.S. Marshal Service. The U.S. Marshal undertook what appears to have been a sham threat investigation of me on January 15, 2010. I have contacted The Inspector General of the United States about this matter. This matter should not rest uninvestigated.
Congressman Issa:
The Office of Inspector General of the United States needs to look into why the U.S. Marshal undertook in January 2010 what appears to have been a sham threat investigation of me.
http://dailstrug.blogspot.com/2010/12/fourth-amendment-touch-my-junk-please.html
The following facts may be pertinent to the possible use of the USMS to intimidate me.
1. The law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld (DC) filed false sworn statements with a DC agency certifying that I suffered from severe mental illness that rendered me potentially violent. I used these false sworn statements to apply for Social Security Disability benefits. My disability claim is a total fraud and will end up costing the government about a half million dollars. Yes, I am currently engaged in the commission of a felony against the government of the United States.
http://dailstrug.blogspot.com/2009/12/social-security-administration-initial.html
2. A senior management partner at Akin Gump is Vernon Jordan.
3. I started blogging about Akin Gump's conduct in the fall of 2009.
4. The U.S. Marshal interviewed me on 1/15/10, alleging that I made threatening statements about a federal judge: an accusation that has no factual support.
5. Attorney General Holder is a personal friend of Vernon Jordan.
6. Vernon Jordan reportedly tried to buy the silence of Monica Lewinsky in the late 1990s.
I believe the DC FBI Field Office is aware of my case. Phone: (202) 278-2000.

DRAFT: Criminal Fraud Certification per 18 U.S.C. § 4 (misprision of felony)
I have added a new paragraph (paragraph 8) to my monthly criminal fraud certification per 18 U.S.C. § 4 (misprision of felony).
Criminal Division
U.S. Department of Justice
Dear Sir:
I believe the following statement discharges my duty per 18 U.S.C. § 4 (misprision of felony) to report the commission of a felony perpetrated against the Government of the United States.

Akin Gump's mental status determination, according to the sworn declaration, was made in consultation with a practicing psychiatrist (Gertrude R.
6. I believe that to the extent that SSA claim no. xxx xx xxxxx is based on the sworn declaration of Laurence J.
Further, I believe that the USMS interview was the product of a criminal conspiracy between the USMS and other(s) to intimidate me in the free exercise of my constitutionally-protected right to publish facts concerning the likely fraudulent nature of my SSA disability claim and the likely criminal conduct of attorney managers of the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld.

Akin Gump: A Culture of Intentional Deception?
Law360, New York (August 27, 2009) -- Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP has decided to halt post-verdict squabbles over a $72.6 million legal malpractice award to a former client, reaching a confidential final settlement with plaintiffs Air Measurement Technologies Inc. and North-South Corp.
Judge W. Royal Furgeson Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas dismissed the suit Thursday after the parties filed a joint motion seeking to end the long-running litigation over Akin Gump’s allegedly shoddy patent applications and a series of underwhelming infringement actions.
“As grounds for this motion, the parties represent to the court that plaintiffs and defendant have entered into a settlement of their claims and causes of action and no longer desire to prosecute their respective claims and counterclaims against one another,” the joint motion to dismiss said.
The terms of the settlement are confidential, and a spokeswoman for the firm could not be reached for comment on the agreement Thursday.
The settlement, reached after years of battle, was likely facilitated by the firm’s discouraging verdict at trial in May.
After a jury returned a $72.6 million verdict against Akin Gump, the plaintiffs requested a final judgment of $83.3 million plus pre- and post-judgment interest, a figure the firm fervently opposed and sought to overturn.
Akin Gump argued that there was insufficient evidence to support the allegation that it engaged in any inequitable conduct that caused injury to the plaintiffs or that any of the plaintiffs' alleged injuries could be tied to malpractice.
Air Measurement Technologies and North-South accused Akin Gump of gross negligence and breach of fiduciary duty in its attorney-client relationship with the plaintiffs.
According to the complaint, Air Measurement Technologies' principals, Louis H. Stumberg Jr. and the now-deceased James A. Fulton, developed a concept for a computerized safety alert system for firemen and other emergency workers in the 1980s and began the process of patenting their technology in 1989.
However, subsequent to the initial patent issued for the technology — U.S. Patent Number 5,157,378 — several companies began to make identical equipment. Several related patents, among them U.S. Patent Number 5,910,771, also are part of the litigation, the complaint said.
The plaintiffs commenced six patent infringement cases, which, ultimately hampered by Akin Gump's flawed prosecution of the patents, led to $9 million in settlements, far less than the value of the widely used safety inventions, the suit said.
Sales of the infringing products were about $100 million per year since 1998, according to the complaint.
Akin Gump and other defendants failed to timely prosecute the '771 patent, which gave rise to the plaintiffs' losing significant royalties under that patent, the plaintiffs said.
Representatives for the plaintiffs could not be reached for comment Thursday.
The plaintiffs are represented by Glickman Carter & Bachynsky LLP, Cooper & Scully PC, Soules & Wallace PC and Storm LLP, among other firms.
Akin Gump is represented by McGinnis Lochridge & Kilgore LLP and Pulman Cappuccio Pullen & Benson LLP.
The case is Air Measurement Technologies et al. v. Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, case number 03-cv-00541, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.
The following post reports on the District Court verdict that found, inter alia, that Akin Gump engaged in intentional deception.

2. See also Freedman v. D.C. Department of Human Rights, D.C.C.A. no. 96-cv-961 (Sept. 1, 1998). The District of Columbia, representing the interests of Akin Gump, filed with the court a substantial quantum of legally-irrelevant "after-acquired evidence" (in a possible attempt to deceive the court). Akin Gump attorney managers solicited a psychiatric opinion about an employee in violation of the American Psychiatric Association's Goldwater Rule. Akin Gump falsely denied in a sworn declaration filed with a D.C. agency that it had knowledge of an employee's membership in a protected class under the D.C. Human Right Act of 1977. Akin Gump filed a sworn declaration on May 22, 1992 that failed to disclose that an employee had lodged a harassment complaint against his supervisor (Robertson) and acknowledged that the supervisor and the Personnel Director (Digweed) cooperated in the termination of an employee in October 1991. Akin Gump alleged that the terminated employee (Freedman) was fired because there was a "lack of fit" between the employee and the firm. Akin Gump unlawfully failed to provide the employee the results of an ex parte consultation with a psychiatrist that would have alerted the employee to file a timely claim for employer-sponsored Long-Term Disability insurance.
3. See also McNeil v. Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld (D.D.C. 1993). Akin Gump denied plaintiff-employee's allegation that Robertson and Digweed colluded in the discriminatory termination of an employee in April 1992 (McNeil). Akin Gump falsely denied or failed to disclose that another employee (Freedman) had lodged a harassment complaint against Robertson in Akin Gump's sworn declaration filed May 22, 1992 in Freedman v. Akin, Gump, Hauer & Feld (see above). Akin Gump terminated employee a brief time before her pension would have vested.
4. See also Gross v. Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld (D.D.C. 2009). Akin Gump alleged that plaintiff-employee (Donald Gross) was terminated because of a "lack of fit" between the employee and Akin Gump.

Mr. Jordan is listed as a principal in the Starr Report. The law license of President Clinton, a friend of Vernon Jordan's, was suspended by the State of Arkansas for five years on the grounds the President had lied about his affair with a White House intern.

Richard Wiedis, Esq.: Knowledge of Fraud and Racketeering by Akin Gump?
Richard Wiedis
Vice President, Risk Management &
Assistant General Counsel at MicroStrategy
Mr. Wiedis:
I strongly urge you to speak to the Washington Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation concerning the following matters. If you have any information that could help the Bureau investigate the criminal conduct of the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, see Freedman v. D.C. Department of Human Rights, D.C.C.A. no. 96-CV-961 (Sept. 1, 1998), you have a legal duty and an ethical duty as a lawyer to disclose that information to federal law enforcement. You practiced law at Akin Gump from 1989 to 1991 coincident with my tenure at the firm (1988 to 1991). Your failure to disclose evidence of crimes could jeopardize your license to practice law.
The D.C. Office of Corporation Counsel (acting through Charles F.C. Ruff, Esq., Jo Anne Robinson, Esq., Charles L. Reischel, Esq., William J. Earl, Esq. and M. Justin Draycott, Esq.) took the position before the D.C. Superior Court in 1996 and again before the D.C. Court of Appeals in 1997 that my belief that Akin Gump's managers (a class of persons that included Vernon E. Jordan, Jr., Esq., Robert S. Strauss, Esq., Malcolm Lassman, Esq., Laurence J. Hoffman, Esq., Joel Jankowsky, Esq. and Richard L. Wyatt, Jr., Esq.) engaged in, or approved the commission of, criminal acts, specifically, approving the break-in of my residence in January 1990 and conspiring to solicit confidential mental health information from my treating psychiatrists in violation of the D.C. Mental Health Information Act of 1978 (from 1989 through 1991) -- acts that in their entirety might constitute the crime of racketeering under federal law -- was genuine. Brief of Appellee District of Columbia, Freedman v. D.C. Dept. Human Rights, D.C.C.A. no. 96-CV-961 (Sept. 1, 1998). Neither Strauss, Jordan, Wyatt, Jankowsky, Race, Lassman, managing partner Hoffman nor any Akin Gump manager disputed the D.C. Corporation Counsel's position or questioned its legal or factual relevance.
The D.C. Court of Appeals determined that a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry (Gertrude R. Ticho, M.D., now deceased) at GW offered a professional psychiatric opinion about me to Malcolm Lassman, Esq. and Dennis M. Race, Esq. in late October 1991. The U.S. Social Security Administration relied in 1993 on Mr. Race's sworn declaration about that psychiatric opinion to grant a fraudulent claim of disability insurance. Dr. Ticho's act of providing a professional psychiatric opinion about an (unnamed) individual without benefit of personal examination was a violation of the American Psychiatric Association's Code of Professional Ethics. See Goldwater v. Ginzburg, 396 U.S. 1049 (1970) (the APA's so-called Goldwater Rule prohibits a psychiatrist from offering a professional psychiatric opinion without benefit of personal examination). Information obtained by Akin Gump via Dr. Ticho's violation of the Goldwater Rule was used by Akin Gump's attorney managers to defraud the D.C. Department of Human Rights (1992 and 1993), the D.C. Superior Court (1996), the D.C. Court of Appeals (1997), the D.C. Corporation Counsel (1996 and 1997), and the U.S. Social Security Administration (1993).
I understand that you maintain social contact via the social networking site Facebook with Maggie Sinnott, my supervisor at Akin Gump from March 1988 to March 1990. Maggie Sinnott reportedly told Dennis M. Race in the days before my job termination that she was afraid of me, consistent with the firm's determination that I was potentially violent and, according to my direct supervisor, Chris Robertson, potentially homicidal.

Mr.
From 1991 to September 2006 (15 years) you served as prosecutor in DOJs Criminal Fraud Section based in Washington, DC. in which capacity you investigated and tried white collar criminal cases including corporate fraud, bank fraud, securities fraud, mail and wire fraud.

Judicial Ethics: The Appearance of Impropriety?
The following hypothetical is presented solely to illustrate a problem of judicial ethics. Any resemblance to real people is purely coincidental.
A law firm solicits a professional opinion from a practicing psychiatrist about an employee's mental health and stability to resolve concerns it has about that employee's suitability for employment. The psychiatrist has not examined the employee in private consultation; the offering by a psychiatrist of a professional opinion about an individual violates the American Psychiatric Association's (APA) Goldwater Rule that requires a psychiatrist to evaluate an individual in person and obtain that person's consent before offering a professional opinion about that individual to third parties. The law firm terminates the employee after the psychiatrist advises the law firm's senior managers, in violation of the APA's Goldwater Rule, that the employee appears to suffer from a psychiatric "disorder" that may render the employee potentially violent.
The employee sues the law firm alleging that the termination was unlawful in that the firm based its termination decision on the subornation by the law firm's attorney managers of an unethical act from a licensed professional. The employee argues that the law firm's managers as attorneys knew or should have known that the solicitation of a professional opinion from a psychiatrist about an employee's mental health and stability was unethical per the APA's Goldwater Rule and inherently unreliable as an expert opinion. The law recognizes that lawyers are presumed to know the law and must adhere to a higher standard of conduct than nonlawyers.
During the interval between the job termination and the subsequent litigation concerning the termination, the state legislature codified the APA's Goldwater Rule, making it a criminal offense for a psychiatrist to offer a professional opinion about an individual without benefit of personal examination. Thus, as of the time the plaintiff-employee filed an unlawful job termination complaint against the defendant-employer, the psychiatrist's expert opinion violated state criminal statutes.
At the request of the defendant-employer's attorney, the presiding judge affirmatively condones the unethical conduct of the psychiatrist, which, at the time of the proceedings constituted a criminal offense. The defendant-employer's attorney was, in fact, the law partner of the judge's husband.
Does the action of the judge in condoning an unethical act by a licensed professional -- an act that constituted a criminal offense at the time of the proceedings -- at the behest of the defendant's attorney, who happened to be the law partner of the judge's husband, give rise to the appearance of impropriety on the part of the judge? If so, should the judge have recused herself from the proceedings?
