Oddly, the following cover letter which suggests illegality by Akin Gump was not included by DHR in the case record, later the record on appeal.

RE: Docket No.: 02-087-P(N)
Gary Freedman v. Akin, Hump, Hauer & Feld
Dear Mr. Stocks:
Enclosed is Complainant's Reply to Respondent's Response to Interrogatories and Document Request. The Reply and attachments have been signed, sworn and notarized.
Also, I would like to state a reservation regarding the authenticity of the confidential memorandum dated October 29, 1991 from Dennis Race to File RE: Gary Freedman (designated Attachment F by Respondent) (designated Attachment L by Complainant). The memo reads as if it was written on the day the decision to terminate was made, which was probably Monday October 28, 1991; the severance check was dated October 28, 1991, as Respondent's business records will verify. Yet the memorandum is dated October 29, 1991. Note the opening of the concluding sentence which reads: "Gary will be given an additional two weeks severance. . . ."
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Gary Freedman
