I attended Penn State Abington my first two years of college, from fall 1971 to spring 1973. My faculty adviser was Dr. Moylan Mills. I recall meeting with him only once. He wouldn't remember me. Dr. Mills was a graduate of The Central High School of Philadelphia (188th class).
Currently, Moylan C. Mills is Professor Emeritus of Integrative Arts at the Pennsylvania State University where he teaches film, theatre, opera, and popular culture courses at Penn State’s Abington College. Dr. Mills is the former Head of Penn State’s Department of Integrative Arts and former Director of Academic Affairs and interim Chief Executive Officer for the Abington College. He received his doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Mills lectures on film, theatre, and popular culture for the Pennsylvania Humanities Council, the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Philadelphia, Arcadia University, and Chestnut Hill College. He is a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Abington Art Center and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Montgomery County Branch of the American Red Cross. Dr. Mills is a project evaluator for the Pennsylvania Humanities Council. He is the former president of the Pennsylvania Division of the American Association of University Professors.
