Open Letter to Akin Gump

Dear Mr. Pierce:

I worked as a paralegal at Akin Gump from 1988 to 1991.  In late October 1988 Akin Gump managers Malcolm Lassman and Earl Segal placed me under surveillance.  That surveillance (now conducted by parties associated with the firm whose identities are unknown to me) has gone on for more than 25 years.  Akin Gump's conduct amounts to stalking.  I have suffered extreme emotional distress as a result of Akin Gump's conduct.  I request that Akin Gump put an end to the surveillance at once.

The D.C. Office of Corporation Counsel (predecessor of the D.C. Attorney General) affirmed in pleadings filed with the D.C. Court of Appeals on July 25, 1997 that I had a genuine, good-faith belief that I was a victim of surveillance by Akin Gump at least as of late 1991.  The Corporation Counsel depicted my beliefs as a product of mental illness.
