Mr. Hobb:
I have reached a decision not to institute a complaint against Nurse Sara F. Carroll at this time. I request that in the future Nurse Carroll refrain from dismissing my concerns that I was a victim of job harassment at my last place of employment, that she acknowledge that my PTSD may have resulted from job harassment, that she institute appropriate treatment for the after-effects of workplace mobbing, or refer me for appropriate counseling by someone qualified to treat PTSD resulting from job harassment.
If Nurse Carroll does not follow through with my concerns, I will institute a complaint against Nurse Carroll for billing Medicare despite her failure to treat my PTSD. It is certainly abuse of the Medicare system for a treating mental health professional to fail or refuse to treat a diagnosed disorder (deny its cause) and then proceed to bill for treatment of that diagnosed disorder.
Thank you for addressing my concerns.

ADMISSION BY NURSE CARROLL THAT SHE REFUSES TO TREAT THE DIAGNOSED DISORDER PTSD:
Natalie Nichols
McClendon Center
Washington, DC
Ms. Nichols,
I met with nurse Sara Carroll this morning at about 11:40 am at the McClendon Center. I asked why my consult was moved up from October 10, 2013 to September 12, 2013. She explained that the McClendon Center had received a telephone call from "The US Marshals Service" voicing concerns about my mental state and that the clinic decided it was advisable that I see nurse Carroll today instead of a month from now. Nurse Carroll had no more specific information about the reported communication from the USMS. Nurse Carroll reinforced the fact that I suffer from severe mental illness, that I am unable to get along with people (as evidenced by my past employment problems) and that my last employer (Akin Gump) was fully justified in terminating my employment by reason of severe mental illness.
At about 1:30 PM today September 12, 2013 I telephoned Deputy U.S. Marshal xxxxx (DC US District Court) to find out any additional information about the matter. As you may recall Mr. xxxxx interviewed me at my residence on January 15, 2010 as part of a risk assessment. Mr. xxxxx said that the reported USMS concerns did not emanate from him or his office in DC. He said it is possible that the USMS in some other jurisdiction contacted the McClendon Center. I asked Mr. xxxxx if he wanted to meet with me "to touch bases" and he declined. Mr. xxxxx can be reached at his office at 202 xxx xxxx.
I do want to state at this time that I do genuinely believe that I am committing a felony against the Government of the United States in violation of 42 USC 1011, Social Security Fraud. I believe that I do not now nor have I ever suffered from a mental illness that would prevent me from working. I routinely send out the following email message every month to the Office of US Attorney for the District of Columbia advising that I believe I am defrauding Social Security (with email copies to Mr. xxxxx, the FBI Washington Field Office and the General Counsel of the USMS). I have never received a response to these emails from anyone and the US Attorney has not instituted a criminal investigation.

Ms. Nichols,
Please note that Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is consistent with a subtle form of job harassment known as mobbing.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobbing#In_the_workplace
I have a problem with Nurse Carroll telling me that I was not a victim of job harassment and that my former employer was justified in terminating my employment after I complained about job harassment. My question to Nurse Carroll is -- if I was not a victim of job harassment, where did the PTSD come from?
I complained about suffering from PTSD as a result of my employment problems in a letter to then U.S. Attorney Eric H. Holder, Jr. way back in January 1994:

Subject: social security claim
Mr. Hobb:
The document at the following site was part of my initial application for U.S. Social Security Disability benefits, which I made in 1993. I never told Social Security that I was disabled or that I believed I suffered from a psychiatric disorder. I expressly told Social Security that I believed I was employable. The original document was signed by me under penalty of perjury for making false statements.
http://dailstrug.blogspot.com/2011/05/social-security-initial-claim-veracity.html
I believe that I am a crime victim, specifically, that I am the victim of a fraud and racketeering conspiracy carried out by my former employer, the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld. McClendon's diagnosis of PTSD is consistent with my being a crime victim. McClendon's diagnosis of Delusional (Paranoid) Disorder is consistent with the so-called Martha Mitchell effect.

I urge the McClendon Center to assist federal law enforcement in the investigation of this matter.

Psychological and health effects of workplace mobbing
ReplyDeleteVictims of workplace mobbing frequently suffer from: adjustment disorders, somatic symptoms (e.g., headaches or irritable bowel syndrome), psychological trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder and major depression.
In mobbing targets with PTSD, Leymann notes that the "mental effects were fully comparable with PTSD from war or prison camp experiences. Some patients may develop alcoholism or other substance abuse disorders. Family relationships routinely suffer. Some targets may even develop brief psychotic episodes, generally with paranoid symptoms. Leymann estimated that 15% of suicides in Sweden could be directly attributed to workplace mobbing.
