    In February 2003 the D.C. Dept. of Mental Health implemented staff cutbacks. My therapist since September 1999, Nancy Shaffer, Ph.D. was let go.

    I was forced to go elsewhere for psychotherapy, while Betsy Jane Cooper, M.D. at DMH remained my psychopharmacologist.

    In May 2004 I returned to the DC DMH and saw Israella Bash, Ph.D. in psychotherapy.
