RE: Job Application - Rose Law Firm
___________________________________________________________

Enclosed is a communication that I have forwarded to the Rose Law Firm in Arkansas in connection with a job application.

The Rose Law Firm is Mrs. Clinton's old firm.

Coincidentally, one of the firm's former partners, Vincent Foster, committed suicide, but did not leave a suicide note. The referenced document submission made to the Federal Protective Service (Jerry McGill, S.A.) under cover letter dated Sept. 8, 1997 refers to the issue of suicide, and the possible psychological inhibitions a potential suicide might have in preparing a suicide note.

The referenced material about suicide concerns passages in my book Significant Moments about the suicide in 1919 of Freud's protege Victor Tausk, and specifically a passage in the late William Styron's book Darkness Visible: A Memoir of Madness about Styron's contemplated suicide. The novelist William Styron had a house on Martha's Vineyard; I believe he knew Vernon E. Jordan, Jr., Esq., an Akin Gump management partner who also has a summer house on Martha's Vineyard.
