Dear Mr. Horan:

Enclosed is a copy of a letter dated September 14, 1998 addressed to Albert H. Taub, M.D. at the P Street Clinic.

I draw your specific attention to the two attachments to the letter:

1. Letter to Marjorie Heydt dated May 27, 1996. The clinic actually turned me away for therapy following my initial inquiry, despite serious concerns about my mental state, and despite the fact that the clinic is a public clinic.

2. Letter to Dr. Ghaddai dated August 2, 1996. Dr. Ghaddai was a psychiatry resident who performed a psychiatric assessment of me in late July 1996 in contemplation of therapy. The letter refers to very serious concerns about my mental state and potential for violence. Yet I was assigned to a social worker for treatment.

I find the current assessments of my need for "intensive treatment" to be specious. It seems that they are taking special notice of me now only because they know the receiver's office is watching.

This is very disturbing. What if I had in fact been a potentially homicidal paranoid schizophrenic in the year 1996?
